The big celebrity baking sweetens Valentine’s Day for fans. For several seasons now, viewers have been watching their TV celebrities conjure up the most beautiful cake creations or despair over tricky baking recipes. Last year, actor Kai Schumann (47), gymnast Philipp Boy (36) and presenter Jochen Schropp (45) fought for the golden cupcake among themselves – and it won Kai. Now a completely new season of celebrity baking is finally starting.
And the broadcaster Sat.1 doesn’t choose just any date to start a new round in the bakery: quite appropriately, the celebrities are allowed to start their cake fight on February 14th, i.e. Valentine’s Day. As always, the jury consists of the professionals Christian Hümbs and Bettina Schliephake-Burchardt. The spectacle is led by Enie van de Meiklokjes (49). But which stars are competing? There are the actors Susan Sideropoulos (43), Raúl Richter (36) and Alexandra Rietz (52) as well as the presenters Panagiota Petridou (44) and Madita van Hülsen (42). They are joined by comedian Simon Gosejohann (48), entertainer Julian Stoeckel (36) and athlete Mathias Mester (37).
And are the celebrities nervous about lending a hand in the kitchen? “I know the business and have camera experience. What’s more: I’ve never baked a cake in my life,” jokes the GZSZ star Susan already before. Comedian Simon dreams more of a hero’s journey: “That someone from the very bottom, where I am de facto currently, rises to the top!”
