Katerina Jacob (65) gives a health update. At the beginning of 2022, the actress made it public that she had been diagnosed with cancer. She had five lumps in her breast, which were removed during surgery. This was followed by two rounds of chemotherapy, which she completed successfully. The long-time “Der Bulle von Tölz” actress has been cancer-free for almost exactly a year. how does it feel Katerina today?
“I’m completely healthy. I’m incredibly energetic,” says the 65-year-old Bunte. Her immune system is strong – but she is still very careful. The fear that the cancer would come back is still there. In addition, she wasn’t able to do all the sessions during her second chemo because her thyroid wasn’t cooperating: “You can also die from chemo because it destroys everything. Every cell is attacked. I initially had a slight overdose, which was later stopped . But I knew I wouldn’t survive more chemo.”
Now I would like to Katerina help other affected people. “I suffered so that others might have to experience a little less suffering. If only one or two women went to preventive care because of my story and were saved as a result, it was worth it,” says the Munich native.
