Ewout Genemans’ TV programs, in which he follows various police teams, score like a charm. After another successful season in Rotterdam, Ewout is now announcing the new season in the Bureau series. And the new season promises to be another striking season. This time he takes us to the far south and the border of the Netherlands…
Ewout Genemans announces new season of the Bureau series
To maintain the success of his Bureau series, Ewout Genemans must of course move on immediately. That is why he is now announcing the new season just before Christmas. On Thursday he posts a mysterious video on his Instagram, in which he walks through the next city. As a result, some people may have already discovered where the new season of the Bureau series is being filmed. But no worries if you’re bad at puzzles: on Friday morning Ewout announced the city! The TV presenter previously participated in police teams in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, The Hague, Arnhem and last season with the Rotterdam police team. Now Ewout is leaving all the way to the south of the Netherlands towards the border…
Follow the police in Maastricht
The new season of Ewout’s successful program takes place in Maastricht, Limburg. Yep, pretty much the southernmost city in the Netherlands and close to the border with Belgium. So it certainly promises another exciting season. “Close to the border, with a vibrant nightlife, student and football city, residence of many expats and an international allure,” Ewout himself writes in Bureau Maastricht’s announcement. He and the police officers in Maastricht will probably have to deal with different situations again, and who knows, different types of situations than in other cities. Of course we already know Maastricht from the popular police series Flikken Maastricht. In addition, millions of tourists come here every year. So it is also a busy city.
Recordings in March
It may be quite a task to surpass the previous season. For example, Ewout indicated in an earlier interview about Bureau Rotterdam that he thought that was the “heaviest season”. In any case, the Maastricht police are looking forward to the season, a spokesperson told 1Limburg. “Bureau Maastricht is a great opportunity to express our pride in our unit,” says Nynke Mook, member of the unit leadership in Limburg. They call the TV program “respectful”, also because they show “the person behind the uniform”.
The recordings of Bureau Maastricht will start in March 2024. It is currently unknown when the new season will appear on TV.
