It seems so, because according to the Portuguese press, the state visit between Portugal and the Netherlands will take place from December 9 to 12. Incoming, so if the reports are true, we can count on tiaras.
Queen Beatrix sometimes left out a diadem at a state banquet, especially if the president in question did not have one at her disposal. Queen Máxima has apparently decided that a diadem is required for a Dutch state visit, because the president, king, sultan, or whatever: she wears a diadem at a state banquet in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Let’s hope that Princess Amalia and Princess Beatrix are also present, because there are still some diadems on my list that I would like to see again.
Update: the RVD has just confirmed that the royal part of the state visit will take place on December 10 and 11.
