A long-cherished dream of the Queen has come true!
She has always described herself as a ‘mother and wife with a really cool job’, but now Jordan’s Queen Rania can add another label to that: she is also an incredibly proud grandmother! Yesterday, the monarch shared some beautiful photos with her first granddaughter.
Princess Iman
On August 3, the big news broke: Crown Prince Hussein and Crown Princess Rajwa of Jordan had become the parents of their first child. The little princess was given the beautiful name Iman, and in photos and videos it was clear that everyone at the Jordanian court was lovingly caring for their youngest child – from King Abdullah to Hussein’s sisters and brother, Iman, Salma, and Hashem.

Proud grandmother
In a sweet new snap shared on Instagram yesterday by Rania, we can see her taking her duties as a grandmother very seriously. In a bright, stylish room that looks like it came straight out of an interior design catalog, the queen is seen with the little girl on her lap.
Wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of comfy slippers that lie kicked out under her chair, Rania is as stylish as she is casual in the gorgeous snap. King Abdullah also can’t seem to keep his eyes off his wife and granddaughter. Awww!

Under the beautiful snapshot, the queen wrote: “So much cuteness in my arms.” It is clear that Rania is over the moon with her new role as grandmother!
Grandma Rania
Of course, we know that Rania is a real family person. In an interview with Good Morning America in the fall of 2022, she already revealed that she couldn’t wait for grandchildren. “I used to say that my favorite title was ‘mom’, but I think that will soon change to ‘teta’, the Arabic word for grandmother.”
And how does she see that role? “My goal is to be a fun grandma,” she shared at the time. Little Iman is lucky to have such a loving grandmother!
