When two influencers get married, it’s a big deal on the internet. Alex Warren and Kouvr Annon’s wedding made for a beautiful TikTok video that made us all cry. But unfortunately, there was also drama. That’s how it goes.
Alex and Kouvr’s wedding
Alex and Kouvr are a couple of influencers who have a combined total of around 40 million followers. The couple was featured together in the documentary Hype House on Netflix in 2022. So they film quite a lot of their lives, but they still prefer to keep some things private, as became apparent after their wedding. An influencer who was a guest at the wedding, Lilah Gibney, went a little too far. She decided to make a vlog during the wedding and post it before the bride and groom could post about their wedding themselves. Yikes. At the wedding, it was made clear to the guests that filming during the ceremony was not allowed, which is why Gibney is currently receiving a lot of negative reactions. Gibney received a lot of hate after another influencer, Mattie Westbrouck, posted a video saying that she didn’t understand why someone would make a vlog about someone else’s wedding. The couple apparently agreed, Kouvr even reposted the video on her own account.

The TikTok drama
The internet is pretty mad at Gibney. Comments under her TikTok posts are mostly negative and call her ‘entitled’ for breaking the wedding rules. In addition, there is an online consensus that the bride and groom should be the first to post something about their wedding. As a guest, you should wait for this before posting your own photos and videos online. Especially when it comes to photos of the wedding dress, it should be up to the bride to post them first. Gibney has since removed the video of the wedding from her YouTube channel after all the negative reactions.
Since the wedding, the couple has been posting a lot about it. And we are so glad they did because it was a beautiful ceremony. Gibney decided to keep posting despite the negative attention she received. She also made a video about the drama in which she said that she vlogs every day of her life and that this day was no exception. She also said that she was not aware that it was not polite to post about the wedding herself before the bride and groom did. “There is no influencer wedding rule book.”
