Hip hip, hurra!
Of course, it is part of it that you feel a bit like the center of the universe when it is your birthday. As Swedish Crown Princess, this is of course doubly true for Victoria: her birthday was celebrated extensively this weekend with a grand party, where she and her own family, her parents, and the families of brother Carl Philip and sister Madeleine literally let their hair down.
Victoria Days
Yesterday was a party in the Swedish palace. Princess Victoria was allowed to blow out 47 candles. Since we are of course talking about the birthday of an heir to the throne, such a day does not just pass by. No way!
It has been a tradition since 1979, Vic’s second birthday, that her birthday is celebrated with great fanfare. This usually takes place on the Swedish island of Öland, where the royal family spends their summers at Solliden Castle. Of course, there is a lot of waving, laughing, waving flags, and more. From the pictures, it looks like a particularly cheerful event again this year!

Under the inspiring leadership of King Carl Gustaf, the audience present sings to the Crown Princess, and after shaking endless hands, Vic also has to get to work to present the annual Victoria Prize. Every year, this award goes to a Swedish athlete who has made an impression that year. This weekend, it was volleyball player Isabelle Haak who walked away with the honor.

Sweet detail: prior to the award ceremony, a short volleyball course was given to Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar on the palace lawn. Prince Oscar in particular seems to be a natural talent. Who knows: does the young prince have a future as a top athlete ahead of him?

Colorful outfits
Naturally, the Swedes appeared in lovely summer outfits to celebrate the birthday of their Crown Princess.
Here, birthday girl Jet herself appeared in a cheerful floral dress by Saloni, with a set of Valentino heels and subtle jewelry. Daughter Estelle went for the occasion in a custom dress by byTiMo. Sister Madeleine also understood the cheerful dress code well with a wonderfully floral Agua by Agua Bendita dress, and daughters Leonore and Adrienne in sweet blue outfits by Loveshack Fancy.
In addition to Princess Sofia’s bright dress, son Gabriel also went for a bright detail with a flower tucked behind his ear. A real fashion prince, that young Duke of Dalarna!
