The Luxembourgish Highness also reveals a remarkable detail about her grandson.
Yesterday, the Luxembourg court shared the big news that Princess Claire, the wife of Prince Félix, has given birth to a healthy son. Today, proud grandma Maria treats Teresa to a set of sweet snapshots with her youngest grandchild.
Proud grandmother
With the birth of Prince Balthazar Felix Karl, the count for Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa now stands at seven grandchildren. And of course they are very happy with that! While the announcement of the birth was only made public with a dry press release, the Grand Duchess now shares an extensive set of photos of the happy family together on her own Instagram account.

In the first photo, for example, her son and daughter-in-law pose with their three babies for grandma’s camera. “What enormous joy, the arrival of Balthazar, our seventh grandchild,” she writes with the sweet series of snapshots.
This is followed by images of the proud grandparents with their youngest grandchild and Maria Teresa and big sister, Princess Amalia, posing with little Balthazar. Henri and big brother Liam would also like to pose with the little one. The series of photos ends with two sweet snapshots of Claire and Félix’s three children, who have taken their mother’s bed with a big grin.
Mistake, thanks!
You may have noticed that we are talking about Prince Baltha herezar Felix, where we wrote yesterday about Prince Balthasar Felix. The royalty watchers behind the Instagram account @coutureandroyals say they have made inquiries and received confirmation that the correct spelling is indeed with a ‘z’.
Although this spelling error in the images used in the announcement can of course no longer be corrected, we see that this has now also been corrected in the captions by the Luxembourg court. The correct spelling is now also used there. Maria Teresa also spells the name of the new prince correctly under her Instagram post.
Oh well: with so much joy you can sometimes overlook the details. Apparently the joy is no less!
