Joëlle Gullit, the daughter of Ruud Gullit and Estelle Cruijff, recently shared a difficult experience on TikTok. During her holiday she suddenly ended up in hospital due to her first ever panic attack.

In a video that Joëlle herself posts on TikTok, she explains why she ended up in the hospital. “It didn’t go the way you would think; I didn’t have an accident or anything. But I did have a panic attack for the first time. I wouldn’t wish it on even my biggest enemy. It felt like I was literally dying. namely no breathing, my heart was pounding so much and I was shaking all over.”
‘Scared without my mother’
26-year-old Joëlle, normally strong and fit, admitted that she has never had to deal with panic attacks before. “I don’t even think the scariest thing is the panic attacks themselves, but the fact is that I am now afraid to do things alone without my mother.” Fortunately, Joëlle is grateful that her mother Estelle is with her, but she knows that she has to learn again to eventually become independent again.

Joëlle’s honest message has generated a lot of support and love from the TikTok community. People share their own experiences with panic attacks under her video and offer tips and support to Joëlle and others who are dealing with this. “Ah, I completely understand you! I did hypnosis and EMDR and after 3 years I can say that things are getting better! You are not alone!” writes a follower, for example. Estelle, Jaimie and Koen?
Joëlle’s mother Estelle once belonged to the trio consisting of Koen Kardashian and Jaimie Vaes. They were always close friends, but lately they haven’t been seen together. At Gordon’s album release, Estelle was asked by Shownieuws about her besties, but Estelle kept her lips tight. When the reporter asked about her bond with Jaimie and Koen, Estelle smiled and said, “Today it’s all about Gordon. He deserves all our attention.” The reporter tried again: “On Instagram we always see you together. How are things going between the three of you?” Estelle remained friendly and said, “Gordon is doing well, and so am I.”
