A tasty teaser for Meg’s new brand!
Last month, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, surprised friend and foe with the launch of her brand American Riviera Orchard. Although the lifestyle label was quiet for a while after the promising unveiling, the first items have now finally been spotted in public!
American Riviera Orchard
The big news was announced with a dreamy video of Meghan in the kitchen: the duchess revealed in mid-March that she was launching the American Riviera Orchard label as a businesswoman.
There was immediately a lot of speculation about what we could expect from the label. An obvious option was a line of culi products given the images from the kitchen. Trademark applications would show that the Duchess would use her brand particularly broadly. From baked goods to dog food and from garden tools to yoga mat: plenty of options!
First reveal
Anyway, as with any ambitious brand: first see, then believe. And now we finally have the first images of a set of American Riviera Orchard products!

For example, designer Tracy Robbins, one of Meghan’s good friends, shares the above snapshot via her Instagram Stories. “Thank you for the delicious basket! “I absolutely love this jam, so I don’t know yet if I will share it with anyone,” she wrote. “Thank you M!”, she ends her message.
The artful snapshot also shows that this is a very exclusive jar of jam – only 50 were made, according to the label.

Delphine Blaquier, the wife of polo player Nacho Figueras (who is good friends with Harry), also received a jar of the limited edition jam. She also has good things to say about it, as can be read in the text on the photo.
Now we have to be very honest: the jars of jam look very appetizing, but a limited edition sandwich filling sounds a bit like a product for when you really don’t know what to spend your money on anymore, nun?
Launch
Oh well, every brand has to start somewhere, and it is of course completely fitting for H&M to tease their big plans in a small and eco-responsible way. Hopefully, at least, this little glimpse of the first American Riviera Orchard products means we’ll finally get to see more of Meghan’s lifestyle brand soon. We wait patiently!
