Good genes and a little help from the surgeon.
Filler here, a boob job there. Botox on the left, a nose job on the right. What has Hollywood done to itself? In each edition of Glamial we take a closer look at a celeb. This time: Bella Hadid (27), Gigi’s younger model sister.
Hadid genes
The Hadid family clearly has good genes. After the modeling career of mater familias Yolanda Hadid, her daughters Gigi and Bella can now also be spotted regularly on the catwalk. But hey, what nature doesn’t give you, you can now have grown yourself. Tout Hollywood is venturing into injections and procedures, so hey, why wouldn’t you?
The beautiful Bella has been working on her own career since a young age, and that is why she partly grew up in the spotlight. This of course means that overly rigorous interventions will be noticed very quickly, because of all the snapshots of the model at a younger age.
Bella then and now
The Glamial editors delved into the archives and found this snapshot of young Bella with her mother and her second husband, artist David Foster. They attended a grand slam event in Las Vegas in October 2010, which was shot the same month little Bella turned fourteen years old.
Nowadays, however, the model looks a little different.
What happened?
Bella herself insists that she only had her nose tinkered with. “People think I’ve completely remodeled my face. That is not true. You don’t look the same as you did when you were thirteen, do you? I have never used botox or fillers. And whoever thinks I had my eyes lifted, it’s face tape! The oldest trick in the book.”
The model underwent nose surgery at a very young age. She was only fourteen when she went under the knife! In a conversation with Vogue, she once said that she regretted this afterwards. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she said at the time. “I think I would have grown into it.”
She also reportedly owes her good looks to facial treatments at the Dior Spa in Paris, Korean connective tissue massages, and supplements. She once shared: “I take fish oil pills, multi-vitamins and probiotics. Everything that is good for my skin and organs.” Well, those good genes are also a factor.
