Does it really work?
As we briefly mentioned, there is no scientific evidence that these piercings really work against migraines. There are no nerves in cartilage, so if pressure is exerted on the nerves, it concerns the nerves around them.
In addition, it may also be that – just like medicines – it works as a miracle cure for some people, while others experience no benefits from it. Getting a piercing against migraines is a chance you can take. If it doesn’t work, at least you’ll get a nice piercing in return. Not a fan of it at all?
