Adorable!
Soon we can enjoy a new series on Videoland, based on the life of our own Máxima. The series tells the story of her meeting with Willem-Alexander, up to her life as queen. We can hardly wait any longer! Especially now that the two leading actors reveal some very nice news in an interview with RTL Boulevard.
Series
At the beginning of 2022, Videoland announced that a drama series about the life of Máxima was in the making. Since then, the streaming service has shared one teaser after another: from the first snapshot on set to the title song and the very first images of the series.
Videoland has now announced that we can finally start streaming Máxima at the end of April. From Saturday April 20, an episode will be shown every week. But, what was it again? The series is based on the book Motherland: The Early Years of Máxima Zorreguieta by Marcia Luyten, and tells the story of Máxima’s life – from her younger years in Argentina to her current life as Queen of the Netherlands. The starting point of the series is the first meeting of Máx and Willem-Alexander in 1999.
Main characters
The leading roles in the series are played by Martijn Lakemeier (Willem-Alexander) and Delfina Chaves (Máxima), and the spark has just flowed between these two Máxima actors. Cute! When the interviewer mentions that the two are also a love couple in real life, both parties start giggling.
Delfina takes the lead and says: “We always had a lot of fun while working,” she begins. Although she also admits that the recordings often took a long time and that they really worked hard. Fortunately, the love birds had a lot of support from each other. “I feel like we kept each other good company,” said the brunette. “And yes, there is chemistry between us,” she concludes. Ah!
First images
