The entire Holland Bakt candidates were evenly matched
The Heel Holland Bakt tent is becoming less and less full. Peace has also returned since Carla’s departure in the previous episode. Although that does not mean that candidates stress less during the assignments. However, the remaining candidates are very evenly matched. Favorites Tim, Rudo and Pien, but also Aruna and Dennis have also been chosen as master bakers. Only Susan not yet, even though she bakes good cakes every week.
Struggles at Pien
Pien also shows her baking talent every week with often creative cakes and pastries. Her creativity and incredibly cheerful character make her one of the favorites among TV viewers. She regularly makes viewers and presenter André van Duin laugh, for example with a striking comment. She actually has little interest in pies: the pastry from the first assignment. “I think it’s such a weak and flat thing,” she says. “As if someone had a very nice cake and sat on it for a moment.”
During the first assignment you notice that Pien is starting to struggle. She suffers from time pressure. “It arrived on time,” she says with a sigh of relief, as soon as she has put her pie in the oven. She is also not satisfied with the final result: “It’s just not that nice.” During the assessment, Robèrt van Beckhoven also indicates that her pie is too full. This causes the filling to run out completely. In addition, the taste did not turn out quite well. Oops… The mayonnaise for the technical assignment will be good immediately. Nevertheless, she does not succeed with her fried Russian salad.
Who is a master baker?
Audience favorite Pien really struggles through the episode. That makes it seem unlikely that she will become a master baker this episode. Things always seem to go well during the assignments, but her baked goods always receive comments and not in a positive sense. Pien’s spectacular ‘shower curtain’ made of spritskoeken or dream catcher, as André calls it, was again unsuccessful. During the assessment, her baking even falls apart a bit. Oh no!
Susan, on the other hand, goes through the episode on fire. As mentioned, everyone has already been a master baker, except her. But now she is finally rewarded with the famous pin: she is the master baker of Heel Holland Bakt episode 5!
Viewers are disappointed with the dropout
A lot of positivity and cheerfulness from Susan, but unfortunately there is also another dropout in Heel Holland Bakt. This time the viewers on social media are disappointed, because one of the favorites has to leave Heel Holland Bakt. Nooo! However, it is an expected outcome: Pien has to leave the tent. “I saw it coming,” she responds. She did indeed struggle immensely during the fifth episode. Yet viewers on social media channel X think it is a loss. “One bad weekend and immediately punished,” one viewer responds, while another says: “Pien from #HHB feels like a heavy loss.”
