Heels make for a nice look, but at the end of the day they are anything but practical. Before you know it, you’ll get stuck or slip. Fortunately, Amalia has come up with a solution for the latter danger.
If you zoom in on her Gianvito Rossi pumps, which at 8.5 centimeters have a slightly lower heel than Máxima’s, you will see something striking. An extra sole has been placed over the original sole. By roughening it before attaching, you are less likely to slip. This is not an unnecessary luxury, especially with new pumps.

Máxima does this regularly. That’s what I noticed during the Spanish state visit.

Are the shoes not suitable for an extra sole? Then the original sole is scratched – if desired – with something sharp.
