One dress is even more beautiful than the other.
Last night was the presentation of the Golden Globes 2024. And that always means enjoying all the splendor that Hollywood has to offer. These were the best looks of the evening.
Glitter & pink
This year was definitely all about glittery dresses. Emma Stone showed up in a beautiful metallic creation from her go-to designer Nicholas Ghesquire of Louis Vuitton. Taylor Swift appeared in a bright green dress full of sequins from Gucci. And fashion fluent as always, Natalie Portman appeared on the red carpet in a Dior Haute Couture dress with a square neckline and shiny and colored sequins.
We also couldn’t ignore the color pink. Barbie actress Margot Robbie wore an Armani dress inspired by, yes, the 1977 SuperStar Barbie. And with a go big or go home attitude, Jennifer Lopez showed up in a Nicole + Felicia couture dress with dramatic off-the-shoulder rose sleeves.

It will come as no surprise that the Barbie and Oppenheimer films were the evening’s top contenders. Ultimately, Oppenheimer, a film about the spiritual father of the atomic bomb, became the big winner! Lead actor Cillian Murphy won a Golden Globe for best male actor in a drama film. Colleague Robert Downey Jr. took home the statuette for best supporting actor. Christopher Nolan, the film’s director, also received an award: for best director.
The film Barbie also did not go home without prizes. They received the Golden Globe for the best film performing at the box office. In addition, Greta Gerwig’s film won prizes for Billie Eilish’s song What Was I Made For. Lead actress Margot Robbie missed out on the statue for best actress in a comedy. That went to Emma Stone for her role in Poor Things.
Succession also received good prizes. The TV series was already expected to win several awards. Last night they went to Sarah Snook (best actress in a drama series), Kieran Culkin (best actor in a drama series) and Matthew MayFadyen (best supporting actor in a series) and the series itself was also declared best drama series.
