Hunter Biden (53) denies blame. The son of Joe Biden (81) has repeatedly drawn attention to himself with negative headlines in recent years. Among other things, he is said to have illegally purchased a weapon and was accused of various drug offenses. The president’s son is also being investigated for tax evasion. There is now some news in this trial: Hunter pleads not guilty!
As reported by People, among others, the American protested his innocence in front of the Los Angeles court on Thursday. Hunter has pleaded not guilty to nine charges filed against him – including three felonies – relating to an investigation into his taxes. He is said to have failed to pay at least 1.2 million euros in taxes and instead spent them “on an extravagant lifestyle”.
If the 53-year-old is convicted on all nine counts, he could face up to 17 years in prison. This indictment isn’t the only one currently facing Hunter: He’s also charged with failing to pay federal income taxes and illegally possessing a firearm.
