Twice as much fun, those twins.
Every year, more than a million twins are born worldwide. Not quite a surprise that a number of twins are also born within the palace walls. And because twins are of course twice as much fun, we list the royal twins.
Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella

When we think of royal twins, we naturally think of Jacques and Gabriella first. The son and daughter of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were born in 2014, and have since been taken to prestigious occasions at every opportunity. Not that you’ll hear us complain, of course, because they are so cute.
Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine

Another couple in the adorable twins category are Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. The youngest kids of King Frederik and Queen Mary are not as well known as royal colleagues Jacques and Gabriella, but every now and then we spot them at a royal event. These twins are not that cute anymore, because at the age of 13 they have been in high school for a long time. Little royals grow up!
Prince Nicolas and Prince Aymeric

Our neighboring royals also have twins. Prince Nicolas and Prince Aymeric are the two sons of Prince Laurent (the most controversial prince in Belgium, but that’s another story) and Princess Claire and were born in 2005. Last December the boys turned 18, and Aymeric (left) celebrated that in the photo) reportedly with very nice company. The young prince has lost his heart to Gersende, a French-speaking Brussels woman who currently lives in Paris (presumably for her studies). It seems to be a really big shot, because according to HLN the lovebirds have even made it ‘Insta-official’.
Princess Margarita and Prince Jaime

We also have our royal twins in the Netherlands. On October 13, 1972, Princess Irene, Queen Juliana’s second child, gave birth to Princess Margarita and Prince Jaime. Margarita was the first to see the light of day, and a minute later her brother followed. Because the twins were born prematurely, they had to stay in the Nijmegen Radboud Hospital for the first six weeks. Brother and sister have now grown into two royal adults and recently celebrated their 51st birthday.
