What can you do about a pimple in your nose? Squeeze it? That seems impossible. You probably recognize the terrible pain in your nose caused by a pimple or spot. Read this article to find out the causes and possible treatment.
Cause of pimple in your nose
A pimple inside your nose develops in the same way as a pimple anywhere else on your body. A pimple develops when a sebaceous gland produces too much sebum and blocks a pore. It can then become inflamed, causing a painful red bump. A pimple or spot.
Another cause of the painful bump in your nose is an ingrown nose hair. This happens when a hair grows back into the skin as a result of cutting or trimming your nose hair. It can be just as painful and red as a regular pimple.
Picking a pimple in your nose?
First of all, we can tell you that scratching your nose is absolutely not helpful. There are a lot of bacteria in your nose. If the pimple opens up due to scratching, there is a big chance of an infection. And that is not what you want…
Prevent inflammation
To make sure the pimple doesn’t get infected or irritated, you can boil some salt in water. Then you can gently (!) clean the pimple with a cotton swab. Leave the pimple alone afterwards.
Nestosyl
Another tip is Nestosyl. When you apply this to the pimple, the tension is gone. It dries out the pimple. When you repeat this for a few evenings, it will be gone. It is better to do this when you don’t have to go outside anymore: you can see the white cream.
Cleansing your face
To prevent pimples in general, there are several things you do. For example, it is important to cleanse your face thoroughly every day. This prevents the pores from becoming clogged and a pimple is less likely to develop. Use a good exfoliant (not a scrub!) such as the 2% BHA liquid exfoliant from Paula’s Choice and a nice day and night cream. This way you take good care of your skin and an inflammation that leads to a pimple is less likely to develop.
Rest
The best way is to just let the horrible pimple in your nose rest. It will eventually go away in a few days.
GP
If it really takes too long or you don’t trust it completely, a visit to the doctor is a good idea. If there is an infection, he will give you an ointment or nose drop that will get rid of all the misery in no time.
Just let that pimple rest, no matter how painful and annoying it is. Good luck!
