Their lives “didn’t match.”
Sad news for Sylvie Meis. Although it seemed for a while that love’s fortune was smiling at her again, her early relationship with Wim Beelen has now come to an end. He announced this this morning via Instagram.

In October 2023, Sylvie Meis announced that she was very happy in love again. “My love 
@wimbeelen,” she wrote in the caption of a sweet snapshot. In the photo we saw a radiant Sylvie with Wim by her side. Moreover, at the turn of the year she shared a beautiful photo from luxurious Dubai, in which she posed next to the businessman.
Unfortunately, their relationship does not seem to have lasted, because today Wim reports on Instagram that it is over. “Dear family and friends,” is how Wim begins his story, according to Story. “A few months ago I met a nice woman. After two dates, someone had to report it to the press if necessary. We then took a crash course in getting to know each other and I quickly came to the conclusion that our lives did not match at all.”
Lives too different
Wim continues that their lives were too different. “Sylvie’s life above the radar and my life below it is a path that does not suit me.” That’s why he decided to put an end to it. “I have therefore decided that our paths will not continue as a couple and we will each follow our own path.”
Finally, he thanks Sylvie for the wonderful time together. “Good luck in your life. You are a special, sweet woman. Thank you.” Sylvie herself has not yet responded to the break. However, the photo in which she introduced him to the world has now disappeared from Instagram.
Little privacy
Wim and Sylvie had little privacy during their relationship. “Ideally you want to get to know each other in peace. But the publicity forces you to accelerate,” Wim said at the time in the Financieele Dagblad. “You suddenly have to explain to everyone that you are dating. Also to your children, to your ex-wife. And everyone likes it.”
In conversation with Glamial last year, Sylvie also said that it is quite challenging to date when you are in the spotlight. For example, she stated: “I can date, but there are certain rules: not in the public eye for the first few months, because then everyone interferes.”
