For an action meeting of the National Coalition for Financial Health, Máxima took a well-known summer outfit out of her closet.
The NCFG wants to reduce the number of households that are financially vulnerable or have financial problems by fifty percent by 2030. Members of the coalition are therefore working together to make financial health and ways to support employees with financial problems a topic of discussion.
Financial health is also a relevant theme within sports clubs where people from all parts of society meet. SV Kampong is the largest multi-sports club in the Netherlands with over 6,500 members, including people with financial worries. An example of making financial health a topic of discussion within football clubs is the project ‘Niemand Buitenspel’ by the KNVB and ING. On average, every football team has one child from a family where there is no financial room (anymore) to pay membership fees, for example. ‘Niemand Buitenspel’ looks together with the parents via Geldfit.nl and the Voorzieningenwijzer whether they qualify for financial arrangements so that they can play sports. ‘Niemand Buitenspel’ was created in collaboration with SchuldenlabNL, the Dutch Debt Relief Route and the Voorzieningenwijzer.
