As far as his career is concerned, Matthias Schweighöfer (42) has undergone a lot of change recently. For a long time he was considered a funny movie cutie thanks to his roles in romantic comedies. But then the actor moved to Hollywood for productions like “Army of Thieves.” He even appeared in the box office hit “Oppenheimer”. Now he reveals – Matthias probably wants to consciously break away from his heartthrob image!
For Matthias It seems it’s time to change the strings. “It was good to say: I might be a good-looking man, let’s see how it sells. But as I get older, I see things differently,” he explains to Watson. He doesn’t want to be someone who runs after the youth. He also wants to show audiences a different side in the future: “The next two films I’m making will be more serious and older things.”
He can’t really understand his image anyway. “I recently looked at my old things with my dear friend Ruby and thought: heartthrob? Well, I don’t see that,” says Matthias. Ruby O. Fee (27) will probably see it differently – she recently told us what she particularly admires her loved one for.
