A difficult time lies behind him! Matthias Reim (66) recently had to cope with a serious loss: his father Georg Friedrich Reim, with whom he had a close relationship, died at the beginning of November at the age of 94. The pop singer then withdrew from the public for a few weeks and even canceled a TV appearance! Now speak Matthias about the death of his beloved father.
“My father’s death was a hard turning point for me. I just mourned him for three weeks and wasn’t capable of anything else,” admits the “Damn I Love You” singer in an interview with Bild. His death has Matthias hit hard: “A person who always protected and protected you from childhood until the end was suddenly gone. I now always ask myself: ‘Does my dad still see me?'” he explains. And although he will miss his father very much, Matthias is full of gratitude for the long time he spent with him.
Matthias became a father for the seventh time just last year at the age of 64. Together with his partner Christin Stark, he welcomed their daughter Zoe into the world! “We are incredibly happy about the birth of our little daughter. Mother and child are doing well, everything went well. And Zoe is really a beautiful girl,” said the musician in an interview with Bild.
