In March, Martijn Krabbé shared that he has a form of cancer, and since then it has been quiet around the beloved presenter. Fortunately, that is now changing! His son Bickel Krabbé has given an update on how his father is doing in an interview with Shownieuws.
Martijn Krabbé is doing “well under the circumstances”
In an interview with Shownieuws, Bickel says that, considering the situation, his father is doing quite well. He says: “Given the circumstances, he is doing well. He does not want to say much about his medical condition, so I respect that. Everything he wants people to know is in his Instagram post.” Although we do not get all the details, it is nice to hear that Martijn Krabbé is feeling well, considering the circumstances.
Lots of support for the family
Bickel also says that the family is very supportive of each other during this difficult time. “We have a lot of support from each other, see and speak to each other a lot,” he says. And it is not only the family that supports Martijn. Many fans and people close to him also send sweet messages. “It is nice to see how many people care about him, are concerned and respond to it. I have seen some nice reactions.” Super cool that so many people care about Martijn and support him!
Fingers crossed for Martijn Krabbé
Although we don’t know everything about how Martijn is doing, it’s nice to hear that he’s feeling okay under the circumstances and that he’s getting so much love and support from his family and fans. Martijn Krabbé and Deborah
Martijn finds great support in his wife Deborah. The two met years ago in an après-ski café and only later discovered that they were made for each other. First they became good friends, after which the spark ignited. “My girlfriends were not surprised: ‘You’ve been talking about him a lot lately,’ they said,” Deborah previously told Margriet. Martijn proposed to her with a Sinterklaas poem. “When I read the last line ‘Will you marry me?’ I burst into tears.”
Fighting for your relationship
Martijn and Deborah got married in September 2019. Martijn told RTL Boulevard that he had not thought that his marriage to Deborah would be so ‘simple’. “I always thought that a marriage, that you have to fight for it and stand up for your relationship, that you have to put effort into it. It never occurred to me that: it has to happen naturally. And now it does. I am incredibly grateful for that.”
