One couple is clearly a favorite among viewers this season of Married At First Sight. Jeppe and Jantine also remain quite stable throughout and there are no obvious scratches in their marriage. They still make each other very happy and are getting to know each other better in the meantime. Jeppe now knows that Jantine does not yet have much experience with sushi dates. Ha!
Jeppe and Jantine in Married At First Sight
For Jeppe and Jantine, it is now time for the next phase of their Married At First Sight adventure: living together. Since they are going to live with Jeppe, a kind of situation arises that you know from Help! My husband is a handyman. His house is not completely finished yet, so he has to get to work quickly before his wife arrives. He turns it into a comfortable love nest with a nice, new box spring. Oh, and the dog is no longer allowed in the bed! “That’s over. New bed, no more dog,” he says firmly.
The day of their reunion will be twice as festive for Jeppe, because it is his birthday. Hurrah! It is already a different kind of birthday, because suddenly he has received all kinds of presents. “Normally not much happens on my birthday,” he says. It makes the now 30-year-old Jeppe happy. His mother also notices that he is a lot happier since Jantine came into his life. Aww… When they finally meet again, they immediately start hugging. “I have to say that I missed him a bit,” Jantine says to the cameras. She enjoyed being home alone for a while, but at some point she felt the need to see him. Viewers on social media channel X are just as happy with the couple as they are with each other:

Struggling with chopsticks
Jeppe is really sweet to his wife. He thinks carefully about Jantine when furnishing the house. For example, he now refuses the dog in the bedroom, but there is also lactose-free yogurt in the refrigerator. Especially for Jantine! She hopes that the cute cat also stays away from the bedroom. “All that dirty hair,” she responds. To kick off their first evening together in Hengelo, they have a date night at a sushi restaurant. Very nice, Jeppe thinks, but it seems like the first time for Jantine. She immediately struggles with the sushi sticks. Fortunately, she has the experienced Jeppe next to her. However, Jantine quickly gives up. “That’s definitely not going to happen,” she responds pessimistically. Of course, sushi restaurants think of beginners like Jantine, so she just gets a knife and fork as an alternative. It’s a bit different, but hey, as long as you can eat.
Cutting sushi
During the sushi date they discover new things about each other. For example, Jantine does not actually eat much garlic, which is common in their food. “Why don’t you eat a lot of garlic?” Jeppe wonders, to which Jantine answers: “Then I sit on the toilet all the time.” Ah! Right. Of course we don’t want that. After some meat and shrimp it is time for sushi. And there too, Jeppe discovers some rather striking behavior in Jantine. “Are you cutting your sushi?!” he asks in bewilderment. “I’ve never seen anyone do that.” Jantine screams, probably because she suddenly feels uncomfortable. “Isn’t that right?” she wonders. “I don’t think so,” Jeppe responds laughing, while Jantine cannot contain herself yet. Well, everyone eats sushi in their own way. Not only Jeppe, but also the Married At First Sight viewers on social media can laugh about it:
