Judge rules: Nicol Kremers does not have to have his autobiography checked before release

The case between Massa is Kassa star Peter Gillis and his ex Nicol Kremers never seems to end. Today was a big day for Nicol in particular, who, according to the judge, can simply release her autobiography without control from Peter. Although there was also a disappointment for Nicol. She must adhere to the obligation of confidentiality, which she is strongly against. That is why she is still starting proceedings on the merits against Peter about this case. Oh oh!

Lawsuit Nicol Kremers and Peter Gillis

The hassle between exes Peter Gillis and Nicol Kremers all started with the alleged abuse, which Nicol reported. According to her, Peter abused her severely during their relationship, including pulling her hair and ears. Meanwhile, there was another lawsuit based on Nicol’s autobiography, and today was the day. The lawsuit was a victory and a disappointment for both parties. First of all, about the lawsuit that Peter had filed against his ex. He first demanded that Nicol not be allowed to simply publish her autobiography. She should have it checked for inaccuracies first. In addition, Nicol had to adhere to a settlement agreement that they had drawn up together during their relationship.

Confidentiality obligation remains

Well, the judge ruled on the latter that Nicol must indeed adhere to the confidentiality agreement. Even though she herself indicated that she had signed the agreement under duress. The judge indicates that she must pay a penalty if she does talk openly about their relationship or its termination. Luckily for Nicol, she also gets some good news. She can simply release the autobiography without Peter checking it first. According to the judge, Peter does not have enough evidence that there are indeed things in the book that conflict with the confidentiality agreement. Therefore, a check seems unnecessary.

Now Peter does have a small advantage: the release of the book has currently been postponed. Nicol is again being treated for her PTSD. She had a relapse earlier when she came face to face with her ex again. Although, according to Nicol her manager, it does not immediately mean that the book will not be delivered at all. “I don’t really foresee any problems that would prevent it from happening,” the manager said.

Substantive proceedings

Nicol is combative. She does not agree with the assessment of the settlement agreement. That is why she has now started proceedings on the merits against Peter. “The judge seems to find it acceptable that agreements are made about not publicly expressing alleged domestic violence,” Nicol’s lawyer Alon Kijl told RTL Boulevard. He believes that the judgment sends a “wrong signal to society”. They are now preparing together for the next step. “The last word on this issue clearly has not yet been spoken or written,” Alon said.
