After his appearance at the Easter service, the monarch seems to have gotten a taste for it again.
Amid all the sad news about the British royals, a positive update is now coming our way. According to Sky News, Buckingham Palace is already busy scheduling appointments in King Charles’ agenda. And that could of course indicate that the frost is on the mend again.
Empty agenda
When the British court announced in early February that Charles had been diagnosed with cancer, the monarch’s agenda was immediately cleared out. Due to the planned treatments, he would not be able to continue with public appearances.
Easter service
That break was briefly interrupted on March 31, when Charles attended the Easter service at St. George’s Chapel with Camilla. The fact that the king was present again so quickly at a public occasion was in any case a big surprise, but the big smile on his face made it all the more striking. Royalty watchers all agreed: Charles seemed energetic, cheerful.
Appointments scheduled
His appearance at the Easter service was reason to assume that Charles is doing reasonably well at the moment, but Sky News is now going even further. The news channel reports that Buckingham has again taken up the monarch’s agenda to plan the necessary royal duties. At the end of April he would already have a number of appointments.

Yesterday Charles also made time to meet the Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey. Although the court has not yet released an official statement about the monarch’s health, it seems that the treatments are working well. Let’s hope that we will see that broad smile from Easter again more and more often!
