Tomorrow is finally the day! Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is coming to Amsterdam. Are you going? Here are the things you need to know so you can experience the most magical night ever with all your fellow Swifties. Let’s make the whole place shimmer!
This is what you need to bring (for the concert and the queue)
The most important thing to bring is of course your ticket. You can only show this digitally, printed tickets will not be accepted. So make sure you download your tickets in time and forward them to the people you are going with to promote flow. In addition, you may be asked for the ID card of the main booker. Is this you? Then make sure you have this at hand. Furthermore, we recommend that you ensure that you are protected against the weather for the queue. For example, bring a poncho for rain and sunscreen for when the sun shines. Also bring enough water and snacks so that you do not dehydrate or get hungry. A game to play in the queue is also recommended. For the concert, it is recommended to bring a power bank. It would of course be inconvenient if your phone ran out of battery during the concert. Keep in mind that your power bank may not be larger than your phone itself.
What time should you be there?
If you’ve been to a concert before, you know that you have to be there a bit earlier than the indicated start time. If you have standing places at the Eras Tour, it is wise to go early to have a chance of getting good spots. You are not allowed to stay overnight in front of the Arena, so if you want to be at the front, we recommend that you get ready early in the morning. Do you have VIP Early Entry tickets? Then the doors are expected to open at 15:30. For the rest of the audience, the doors will open at 16:30. If you have seats, go to the entrance 45 minutes after the doors open. Then the largest crowd will have disappeared and you will not have to wait too long to get in. But don’t wait too long. The support act for Paramore starts at 18:15 and Taylor herself will be on stage at 19:30.
This is not what you can take to the Eras Tour
There are a few things you are not allowed to bring into the Arena. First of all, you are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks. You can buy food and drinks in the Arena. Furthermore, you are not allowed to bring photo and video cameras, as well as selfie sticks, e-readers or tablets. Bags larger than an A4 sheet of paper are also not allowed. And unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring carabiners to hang your friendship bracelets on. So put them around your wrists or in a pencil case. You can hang them on your bag if you have a shoulder strap that you can easily detach.
Merch!
Of course you want to have merch for such a special concert. There are several places where you can buy merch. There is a large merch point outside the Arena. In addition, there are also places to buy merch inside the Arena. Today you can buy merch outside the Arena until 20:00. The rest of the days the merch stand will open at 10:00 and close at the end of the show.
When is the best time to go to the toilet
The Eras Tour is quite long. So there is a chance that you will have to go to the toilet. Of course, you want to miss as little of the Eras Tour as possible. The best times to go are during the Paramore support act, during the transitions between the Eras or during a song that you don’t mind missing. But keep in mind that if you have standing room, you will probably lose your place if you go to the toilet.
