Yet he and Petri turned out not to be a match. Petri is still alone, but Thomas has now found a new love. Or actually rediscovered an old love. Aww!
B&B Vol Liefde-Thomas has new (old) love again
In the popular TV program B&B Vol Liefde we meet Thomas. He tries to find love with Petri in France. This turns out not to be an easy battle, especially because Petri has a somewhat cold character. She doesn’t open up to men very easily. Although she is most successful in having good conversations with Thomas. He also lasts the longest in her Bed & Breakfast, but ultimately turns out to be no match for Petri.
Thanks to the popularity of the dating program, he still receives letters from other ladies after the recordings. However, he does not respond to this, he tells the Voorschoten newspaper. However, he had a very good reason for this. “My participation in B&B has rekindled the fire between me and my ex-girlfriend,” he says. O! Thomas and his ex-girlfriend were together for two years, but then took a break. They still kept in touch via WhatsApp and thanks to B&B Vol Liefde that contact increased. “The program may not have given me a Bed and Breakfast full of love,” he says. “But it still helped me find love!”
Nice adventure with Petri
In the interview with the newspaper he also talks about his love adventure in B&B Vol Liefde. As mentioned, Petri came across as a bit of a cold woman. Although, according to Thomas, their story was portrayed more negatively than it actually was. For example, he came across as ‘pathetic’ when he left, as he sees in the images. “When you see that afterwards, you cringe on the couch for a moment,” he says. “I understand that good viewing figures are important, but I just had a really nice week!” Although of course he did not hear everything that Petri said on camera. He had no idea that Petri once called him ‘boring Pete’. “When you hear Petri say that afterwards, you raise your eyebrows for a moment,” he responds.
Nevertheless, he looks back on everything with a positive outlook. “I ended up having a great time, even though there was no love in it,” he says. He also went into the recordings with the idea that nothing would work out with Petri. “When I saw Petri’s call, I already knew that it wouldn’t be love at first sight,” he says. “But you never know, love can always grow.” In this case, unfortunately for Petri, not with them.
