Yes, One Big Family is getting a second season. Chantal Janzen – who took charge of this series – announced this in a video from RTL Boulevard. Chantal cannot believe her luck that the series is Videoland’s most watched drama series this year and will be getting a second season. “We are extremely proud and happy that One Big Family has been so well received,” she shares.
“We have received an incredible number of wonderful reactions from the start, with recognizability in particular. Coming up with a series has always been a dream, but that it is the most watched series of the year so far on Videoland? No, I really wouldn’t have dared to think that. The fact that we can make a second season with this great creative team is really fantastic.”
First season
The drama series One Big Family is about Julia (Chantal Janzen) who moves in with her two daughters and son with new boyfriend Taco (Lykele Muus) and his two daughters and son. Finding a new balance together as a family produces many comical, moving and difficult moments.
Chantal got the inspiration for her new series from her own blended family, which she says she has been ‘very proud of for seventeen years now’. The complete first season of One Big Family can now be viewed at Videoland.
