Douwe Bob is not doing well at the moment. As far as his music career is concerned, he is doing well. He is currently scoring a hit with the song This World Is Our Home. Unfortunately, things are going less well in his personal life. Last weekend the singer had an affair with a group of young people in Abcoude. Of course, images of this circulated on social media, forcing Douwe to respond. On Sunday afternoon he indicated via Instagram that he had a “serious alcohol problem”. That is why Douwe is now going to rehab for a month, he reports on Monday morning via Instagram.

The images circulating on the internet are indeed intense. It was first rumored that Douwe had actually hit someone. However, his management now says that this is not true. According to them, Douwe only gave a “slap on the helmet”. There was also uncertainty about the age of the victim. For example, people shouted that it was a 16-year-old boy. However, Douwe himself says via Instagram that he is in his twenties. “I am far from proud of this,” he writes. “But it is a significant difference.” He then says that he brought flowers to the victim. “I’m really going to put this right,” he concludes his statement.

Concerts not cancelled
Even though Douwe has now been in rehab for a month, his upcoming concerts will not be canceled, according to his management. His album tour starts in February and will therefore continue as usual for the time being. His tour starts on February 15, 2024 at the Paradiso pop temple in Amsterdam, after which he will perform in Groningen, Tilburg and The Hague. He will also be one of the guest artists during Holland Zingt Hazes in the Ziggo Dome next year.
