A day in Zeeland for Queen Máxima today. In Goes she visited the ElkeMooi Foundation, and in Middelburg she visited the HerstelTalent Foundation.
ElkeMooi is a foundation that helps people regain their self-confidence and thus gives them confirmation that they belong in society. People who are mentally, physically or financially vulnerable can go to ElkeMooi for, for example, a haircut, manicure or make-up.
The HerstelTalent Foundation offers recovery assistance to people who have lost control of life due to certain circumstances. The employees of this initiative have all experienced a period of disruption in their lives and have developed their expertise from this. They now help others to reconnect with society. The foundation offers training, courses, projects and one-on-one guidance on self-help and recovery.
