She’s beaming up to her ears! On Sunday one of the most important dates in the Danish royal family’s calendar was coming up: Queen Margrethe of Denmark (83) signed her declaration of abdication in front of the Council of State after 52 years of rule. Their son, Crown Prince Frederik (55), and his wife Mary (51) were crowned the new royal couple of Denmark. The new queen made a particularly brilliant appearance!
After his inaugural speech as monarch, the 55-year-old waved to his subjects from the balcony, completely moved – his wife Mary was very proud at his side. As the photos show, the 51-year-old wore a dream in white. The newly crowned monarch underlined her elegant look with a few sparkling accessories and a big smile on her face.
Despite the persistent affair rumors of the past few months, there was a surprisingly intimate moment between the couple during the coronation: Frederik and Mary not only sealed the change of throne, but also their love – with a romantic kiss on the mouth.
