The Prince and Princess of Wales share an important character trait.
Prince William and Princess Kate have been happily together for many years now. But let’s go all the way back to the beginning, because what actually made William fall for Kate? Although he obviously likes everything about his wife, there is one quality that gave him butterflies in his stomach.
Confident and funny
In two days, Kate will be able to blow out 42 candles again and over the years she is gaining more and more self-confidence. She has been married to Prince William for thirteen years in April this year and has welcomed three beautiful children with him. But how did she cheat him back then? During an interview with Hello! Magazine, several acquaintances of the royal family said that she managed to win him over mainly with her sense of humor.
Laugh a lot together
In the interview, the princess is praised, among other things, for her quiet, but very friendly personality. She is described as someone who is ‘a natural introvert’ and ‘incredibly thoughtful’, and ‘always shows modesty’. What was most striking, however, was that it was mentioned that Kate is very funny and not averse to a bit of self-mockery. There are now also several examples of public situations in which Kate made William laugh loudly. We can see why he fell for her!
Naughty humor
William himself has said before that he really appreciated Kate’s humor. In the first interview after their engagement, he revealed that he and his bride share the same sense of humor. “We both have a mischievous sense of humor and we really found each other in that. We laughed a lot together at first and then something blossomed.”
Later, William said that the shared humor makes their relationship very special: “It’s all very easy, we have a lot of fun together and, as everyone knows, I am very funny. She appreciates that and that makes our bond very strong.” Kate responded in a nice way with a playful “what you want”. When the interviewer asked whether Kate used to hang a poster of William above her bed, her humor also emerged: “If he wanted to. No, I had a poster of a Levi’s model above my bed. Sorry dear.”
