But the athlete has also made negative headlines in the past. Most recently he was in court for a chainsaw attack on his neighbor’s property. The judge decided that he would have to pay a heavy fine. After an argument, the ex-footballer is said to have sawed the roof beams of his neighbor’s carport with a chainsaw so that he could have an unhindered view of Lake Starnberg. The case went to court in early December Jens was found guilty. But the case is apparently not over yet, reports the German Press Agency. The public prosecutor’s office is said to have lodged an appeal around a week after the verdict.
In the past few months, the former professional footballer’s missteps have increased. According to BILD, he recently had to appear in court for driving too fast. Due to the speeding, he is said to have to give up his driver’s license, but the 54-year-old has already lodged an appeal against this verdict.
