Intimate and super exciting!
Are you a fan of series such as Bridgerton and The Handmaid’s Tale? Then we have good news. There is a brand new series on Netflix called ‘Alias Grace’. The intimate costume drama is based on a book by writer Margaret Atwood, where we go back in time to 1843.
Alias Grace
Alias Grace is set in 1843, where Irish immigrant Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon) comes to work for the wealthy Thomas Kinnear (Paul Gross) in Canada. But then something intense happens. Not much later, she is accused of murdering the cleaning lady Nancy (Anna Paquin) together with a stable boy. The two are even convicted. Psychiatrist Simon Jordan (Edward Holcroft) is then called in to find out if she is actually guilty.
The trouble, however, is that Grace herself no longer remembers anything about the murders. Are they actually going to find out if she is guilty? Exciting!
Bridgerton season three
In addition to this brand new series, Bridgerton is also coming with a brand new season. Netflix has now – finally – shared new images from the third season.
The third season of Bridgerton will revolve around Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) who (hopefully) finally fall for each other. After Penelope experiences Colin’s brutal comments about her, she gives up her long-unrequited feelings for him. Smart Featherington thinks it’s time she focuses her energy on finding a husband. One that leaves her free enough so that she doesn’t have to kiss her secret identity as Lady Whistledown goodbye. Penelope, who is often dismissed as an ugly duckling by her family, is not very good at flirting. She has no idea how to smoothly approach her search for a man. And Colin, who realizes that Penelope is not giving him the attention he previously received, is disappointed. They were such good friends before, right? He therefore decides to offer his help. He will help his dear friend to find a good husband.
In any case, we can enjoy ourselves with Allias Grace until the new season of Bridgerton. Enough viewing material!
