The pain is still deep. Carrie Fisher (✝60) took on the role of Princess Leia in six Star Wars films and thus became an international icon. There was great sadness when the actress suddenly died in December 2016. The loss is still difficult for her only daughter Billie Lourd (31). She pays tribute to her mother with touching words Carrie tribute on the seventh anniversary of her death.
On Instagram, the 31-year-old shares a childhood snapshot of herself and her mom on the beach and gets emotional. “It’s been seven years since my mother died. […] Each anniversary brings with it a different variation of my grief. Some people make me feel angry, some people make me cry all day long.” This year is different – Billie feel grateful: “Grief has infused my life with a sense of appreciation I never had before. It makes me enjoy every moment of joy as if it were my last.” Miss you Carrie every day, but “the cliché is also true – she is with me every day.”
It is now Billie herself a mother of two children. Her son and daughter never met their grandmother, but they still did Carrie a big part of their life. “As I tell my son, she lives in the stars – and she damn sure makes my life sparkle,” emphasizes the actress.
