Fight against drugs: Matthew Perry taped his hands

Matthew Perry (✝54) fought his demons. The actor had had serious drug and alcohol problems for many years. The Friends star finally died in October – the cause of death was given as “acute effects of ketamine”. How hard his battle with addiction was during his lifetime is becoming increasingly clear. Now it is known: Matthew even taped his hands to get away from drugs.

This is what his ex-partner Kayti Edwards reveals Matthew were together over 15 years ago. She recalled one incident to The Sun: “I found Matthew on the couch with my hands glued to my legs – it was incredibly sad. We literally tore the hair from his legs and he was left with red, raw spots, it was pretty terrible!” Her partner at the time had previously gotten drunk.

Matthew always spoke about his major problems during his lifetime, as well as in his biography. In it he also described taking ketamine for his depression – but with every infusion he felt like he was dying.
