This week the United Nations General Assembly was held in New York. Many royals were present. Queen Máxima celebrated her 15th anniversary and announced that she has been given another position at the UN. In addition to Máxima, Mabel, Jaime and Mathilde were also in New York. Princess Margriet had various activities in the Netherlands.
Maxima’s week
Josine lined up all Máxima’s jumpsuits. That’s a nice stash of jumpsuits.
Queen Máxima wore her tulip brooch in New York. Where does this come from?
We also saw Máxima in New York in a ‘suit’ with orange flounces.
For the celebration of her anniversary, Máxima chose red. During her speech she announced that she has been given another position within the UN.
King Willem-Alexander was also in New York, as were Princess Mabel and Prince Jaime (see video).
Queen Máxima flew from New York to Brazil, where she was welcomed in Rio de Janeiro for her first official deployment as United Nations Special Advocate for Financial Health. Máxima took part in the third plenary session of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion. During the session, Queen Máxima discussed challenges for financial inclusion with Deputy Governor Renato Gomes. Máxima chose a well-known dress from Natan for this occasion.

Other
In Luxembourg they received Pope Francis with almost the entire family.
Last but not least: in Greece they are having a big party today. Because after a few postponements (due to corona measures and the death of Theodora’s father King Constantine), Princess Theodora and Matthew Kumar are finally getting married today in Athens. Tonight we hope to get images to report. We now have images of the arrival of the bridal couple and the guests for the pre-wedding dinner.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
