After the success of the documentary about David Beckham we were eagerly awaiting Victoria to get her own series. And Netflix has now answered our prayers, because a documentary about la Posh is in the making!
After her time with the Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham only managed to expand her CV. Singer, fashion designer, owner of a beauty brand and also mother of three children: the power woman has a lot of achievements to her name. High time, then, that a documentary about her life is also made!
Documentary about Victoria
Yes, it’s coming: a documentary series about the life of Victoria Beckham. The designer has of course built a big name for herself in the fashion and beauty world and that is exactly what Netflix will highlight in the documentary series.
“The series offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Victoria’s business, her family life and her fashion career, featuring never-before-seen archival footage, and chronicles Victoria’s rise to fame as Creative Director of her own brand,” Netflix said.
The series will be executive produced by a number of very talented documentary filmmakers, including Nicola Howson. Does that name ring a bell? It might, as Emmy-nominated Nicola also produced Beckham. Producer Julia Notthingham (Pamela: A Love Story and The Greatest Night in Pop fame) will also be working on the series.
About Victoria
Victoria is only just fifty, but she has already accomplished many impressive things in her life. She is currently, of course, running her fashion and beauty empire Beckham. In 2008, she launched her own fashion house – that same year she made her Fashion Week debut at NYFW – and in 2019, she added her own beauty brand.
Before she made waves in the beauty and fashion world, Vic was of course one of the Spice Girls. And while the Netflix description doesn’t mention her Spice Girl past, we can hardly imagine that this won’t be covered in the documentary.
We also hope that her dynamic with husband David Beckham will come to the fore again. Yes, again. For those who haven’t seen it, the Beckham documentary also features Victoria Beckham and shows viewers how the two interact in private (you can’t have missed the Rolls Royce comment).
Whether the documentary about VB will be as successful as her husband’s is of course still the question. Beckham was nominated with no less than five Emmy nominations.
