If you read it like this, Royke is a jack of all trades. Stylist, singer, and recently also owner of Bed & Breakfast: Spa Goud. On the website where you can book an overnight stay it says: “Escape your busy life for a while? Come and completely unwind during an overnight stay in our luxurious private wellness. You wake up in a wonderful luxury box spring and enjoy our freshly made breakfast (for a fee).”
Price and location
Where is Spa Goud actually located and how much do you pay for a night in this luxurious room? The accommodation is located in Tilburg, but you do have to pay a bit for it. An overnight stay in Roy Donders’ B&B costs €360.
Question marks about the website
People who want to book something still have a few questions. You can’t just make a reservation. Huh? Yes, if you want to stay at Spa Goud, you first have to make a request for a reservation. Only when the request has been approved by Roy, you can book a night. The website also states that you have to pay immediately. It just doesn’t say when such a reservation request is processed. Roy Donders has his own website, but that is not where you can request the reservation. You do that on Booking.com.
Popular?
When we look at the bookings, we see that the Bed & Breakfast is not yet very popular. The agenda shows that the room is still available for many dates. Roy and Michelle hope that it will become more popular, because they got a lot of inspiration for this place when they stayed in a wellness hotel themselves. “We both thought: it would be really nice if we could start something like that one day”, says Roy in an interview with the weekly magazine Weekend. He says he was not inspired by the Meilandjes, who opened the Code Rosé guesthouse last year. “The idea was to realize a wellness at home. And not just an overnight stay.” If it were up to the couple, it would not remain just this room, but they would like to rent out more rooms.
