The diamond of the season has been found!
Jennifer Lopez turned 55 this week. And, as befits a diva extraordinaire, it was accompanied by a fair amount of va-va-voom. J.Lo celebrated her birthday with a big Bridgerton-themed party. On her Instagram, she shared – somewhat enviously – images of the fairytale evening.

“Dearest Gentle Reader… And a splendid evening was had by all,” Jennifer writes with the video of her Bridgerton party. And these are no sober festivities: the evening is complete with white carriage, Regency gowns, string orchestra and classical ballroom dance. The shining center of attention in the images is of course J.Lo herself, who in between dancing, celebrating and blowing out candles also has time to entertain her guests with a small performance.
Jennifer is wearing a truly enchanting dress with golden details, which could have come straight from Queen Charlotte’s wardrobe. And of course a queen is nothing without a golden throne, but fortunately that has been taken care of as well.

Of course, it is striking that husband Ben Affleck is not visible in the images. There have been rumors for some time that the two are no longer together, and the sale of their million dollar mansion only fueled those rumors.
The message that Jennifer shares on her Instagram also hints that the singer is going through an emotional time. In an extensive message, she tells that her birthday was a celebration with a smile and a tear, and thanks her fans for all the support and love she receives from them.

I laughed, smiled, shed a few tears,” she wrote. “I have so much love for all of you. I want you to know that YOU are my greatest gift on my birthday. Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me, in good times and bad. I can always count on you. And you can always count on me. Thank you for your care, understanding, loyalty and most of all love. 🤍”

Ben and Jennifer , have had quite a tumultuous relationship. The two Hollywood stars were also together from 2002 to 2004, and were even on the verge of getting married. But just before the wedding, they postponed their big day, and a few months later they confirmed the end of their relationship.
In 2021, the sparks flew again, and a year later the couple (finally, but still) tied the knot. Although the story seemed to have a fairytale ending, it now feels a little too good to be true. Because while Jen celebrated her 55th birthday with friends and family, Ben was spotted in the streets of LA, without a wedding ring on his finger. Until now, we always kept our fingers crossed for a happy ending, but now it is questionable whether that will ever happen…
