King Frederik and Queen Mary have arrived in Greenland for their week-long trip. The royal couple started their journey in the northernmost part of Greenland.
Greenland has a geographical location in North America, but is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. The island has its own government and, together with the Faroe Islands (located in the Atlantic Ocean) and the country Denmark, belongs to the kingdom of Denmark.
After the state visits to the Scandinavian neighboring countries and the planned visit to the Faroe Islands (this was planned, but was postponed until a later time due to circumstances), it is now Greenland’s turn. Today King Frederik and Queen Mary started their week-long visit to the beautiful island. After arriving at Pituffik Space Base, a visit to Qaanaaq followed.
Fashion Mary
Queen Mary is warmly dressed upon arrival. We will probably see a lot more of that during this trip. Greenland is simply not the warmest place on earth. I hope for many beautiful pictures with a beautiful background, and who knows, a traditional costume! King Frederik is wearing a piece of clothing that suits Greenland today. Mary is wearing black trousers, a light blue blouse with a fair isle sweater over it. She is also wearing a camel-coloured coat by Stella McCartney.
In the coming week we hope to follow Frederik and Mary’s journey (where possible). We look forward to atmospheric pictures of a beautiful journey.
