Her time in The Big Apple is almost over.
Eloise van Oranje’s internship in New York is already over, she announced via her Instagram account. She also opens up on the social media platform about what she has been doing in The Big Apple.
New York
In April this year, Prince Constantijn’s daughter moved to The Big Apple for a few months. During this period she interned at a major fashion company and now she tells us what her time there was like via the Harper’s Bazaar Instagram account:

“A lot of people wondered what exactly my internship entailed, why I went to New York and what was going on,” the countess begins her story. “I just happened to have finished my internship for a week now, so I thought: perfect time to explain everything from top to bottom.”
Internship
For her education – the higher hotel school – Eloise had to do two internships, one in the Netherlands and one abroad. Eloise chose a company in New York: “I did an internship at Otrium. (…) It is an online fashion outlet whose mission is that every item of clothing must be worn.” This is of course a perfect match with the countess, who attaches great importance to sustainability and even opened her own second-hand clothing store at the beginning of this year. What exactly does the company do? Eloise explains: “They offer a platform for companies to sell their old inventory and old stock. That’s why there are so many good discounts at Otrium.” Ah!
Activities
The countess was part of the – how could it be otherwise – sustainability team. Her work ranged from helping with the design and setting up a donation platform, to organizing a clothing shop event. “And the project I am most happy with is creating a blog post series on the website, where I conducted interviews with more sustainable brands to learn more about their sustainability initiatives,” says Eloise. In any case, the countess has not been idle there in New York!
