Do Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have new wedding plans?

The rumor mill is working overtime around the British royal family.

There has been a lot of buzz about Prince Andrew, King Charles’ younger brother. And although there are mainly negative reports about him, there is now a different kind of rumor going around about the prince. He and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, whom he divorced in 1992, may have found love again…

Good tire

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have been separated for more than 28 years, but this break-up has not resulted in the Duke and Duchess of York living apart. After their marriage ended, the former couple maintained a close bond. So they have been living together for years in the Royal Lodge, which the late Queen Elizabeth once gave to her son. In addition, the ex-lovers of course have two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, and a whole bunch of grandchildren, so their lives will always remain intertwined.

Because the two have lived together for so long, rumors continue to circulate that Fergie and her Duke would get married again. But these rumors are now being squashed by Sarah. “We are very happy with the way things are now, thank you,” she debunks the gossip. So we should not expect that a major (second) royal wedding will take place within the British royal family anytime soon.

Ups and downs

During the interview, the Duchess also discussed the ups and downs of marrying a member of the royal family. One thing Sarah has always felt was a great privilege: “I hope I have used every platform I could to do something good, especially in terms of my charity work.” She also says that her years of experience as a public figure has given her a thicker skin. “When I walk into a room now, I accept that 50 percent might like me and 50 percent might not, and that’s fine,” she once told Express UK.

Royal Lodge

After all his scandals, Prince Andrew may no longer have any titles or official role within the court, but he still has a spacious mansion with thirty rooms. However, since last summer there have been persistent rumors that King Charles wants to force his brother out of the villa. Although Fergie reportedly managed to ensure that she and her ex were allowed to continue living in the Royal Lodge due to the health blows she suffered, the discussion in the palace is said to have flared up again.

Because the prince has hardly maintained the property, the house is now ‘completely dilapidated’, if we are to believe royalty journalist Ian Pelham Turner. Substantial investments would be needed to renovate the Royal Lodge, but whether King Charles wants to make this investment for his controversial brother remains to be seen… In short: this story will undoubtedly continue!
