Your Royal Highnesses certainly don’t turn down a good glass of sparkling wine, although we see them smashing a bottle against a boat more often than sipping on a flute. Princess Kate is having fun with it, as is evident from her broad smile.
State visit
There is also a lot of toast during state visits. Well, you have to keep it a bit fun between all those serious matters, nun? You might expect that a locally brewed beer would appear on the table during a state banquet in Germany, but no! A festive glass of bubbles to set the mood is just part of it.
