This way you always look radiant.
A nice blush on our cheeks always looks youthful and healthy. But if we didn’t get this from Mother Nature, we can always recreate the effect with makeup. But how do you apply blush correctly that doesn’t make you look older?
Kiss of the sun
Blush is the perfect tool to add color and warmth to your face. Ideal when the sun fails to shine in our cold little country! A little blush can give the effect that you enjoyed a glass of rosé on the terrace with your friends, in the nice spring sun. However, installing this sun in a box is a profession in itself. Avoid these mistakes to avoid looking older than you actually are.
Right texture
Try not to use powder blush if you have mature skin. Powder make-up unfortunately emphasizes texture and fine lines, while we want to create a smooth and even face. Therefore, choose a blush with a cream-like texture, which creates a beautiful natural and smooth effect on the skin.
Matching color
The wrong color can also make you look less young. By choosing colors with pink, terracotta or coral-like tones you get an effect that most resembles a natural blush. Which one looks best is a matter of trying it out. The color of clothing you wear also has an effect on how the blush looks on you, so don’t hesitate to buy multiple colors. Oh, what a punishment that we can enjoy shopping!
Placement
When you apply blush in the right places, it can give your face a facelift, so to speak. But unfortunately the opposite is also true: in the wrong places it makes you look older. A good rule of thumb is to never place your blush lower than the end of your nose. This prevents your face from visually drooping. The second tip for correct placement is to take a good look in the mirror. Where do you see that your cheeks have a bit of a natural blush? Then try applying blush to these areas. And before you know it you’ve mastered the trick!
