Do you want to get fit, but can’t do it alone? Then a group lesson is a good idea. These are group lessons that you must try once.
Group lessons
A group lesson can be the lifesaver when you can’t find the motivation to exercise yourself. Do it together with friends, or with strangers, to still achieve those health goals. Don’t know which lessons you like? Try something (or several lessons) from this list and before you know it you will feel completely fit again.
1. Pilates
A combination of yoga and fitness, and you can do it in two ways: pilates on a machine or pilates on a mat. On a mat you do light movements that focus on core strength, posture and flexibility. On the device you can try out more difficult exercises and movements.
2. Kickboxing
Looking for something that is really physical? Then kickboxing might be something for you. You can release all your anger and frustrations and it will help you improve self-defense techniques while hitting, punching, kicking and kneeing against the punching bag. Build muscle mass, improve your fitness and work on your self-confidence with this group lesson.
3. Aqua fitness
For real water lovers you can do aqua fitness. These lessons are a little different from normal swimming, because aqua fitness includes exercises such as strength training, aerobics and stretches. The water serves as extra resistance sand, but also for extra support. So have fun splashing around!
4. Zumba
Attention dancers: Zumba is the class for everyone who loves Latin inspired music and dance moves. It is also doable for people without loose hips, as long as you have fun. After an hour you can feel your whole body burning in the best way possible and you can almost fill a bucket with the sweat that comes out and know you’ve done it right!
5. Spinning
Would you rather stay seated during class? That is also possible, although you will be completely exhausted after that hour. Spinning means that you are guided by an enthusiastic instructor on a stationary bicycle. The upbeat music helps you stay motivated as you climb hills and sprints. You can determine the resistance of the bike yourself, but either way you will be completely defeated after this group lesson. And that’s what makes it so much fun.
