To see! Ryan Gosling wows audience at Oscars with brilliant ‘I’m Just Ken’ performance

The Oscars are a special celebration every year. At this award ceremony they always go a little further, including now with the performances, for example. Although actor Ryan Gosling in particular steals the show with his special performance of I’m Just Ken from the popular live-action film about Barbie. He blew everyone away with that!

Ryan Gosling steals show with performance at Oscars

This year’s Oscars ceremony included the popular films Oppenheimer and Barbie. Unfortunately for Barbie, their ‘competitor’ became the big winner at the Oscars. Although they do win in the field of music. For example, the song What Was I Made For? Billie Eilish won the award for Original Song and Ryan walked away with the ‘prize’ for best performance of the evening. Well, not officially, but his performance of I’m Just Ken is very popular with the public and viewers on social media. Right in the beginning he also makes the audience laugh when he starts his performance from there. And of course he starts with ‘his’ Barbie, aka actress Margot Robbie. He then gives a stunningly good performance together with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. He remains serious all the time, which makes it even more fun. Judge for yourself:

Barbie spin-off movie about Ken?

It is not surprising that Ryan receives so many positive reactions to his performance at the Oscars. Even though the live-action Barbie movie is about Barbie, her co-star Ken becomes just as popular afterwards. This is partly due to the beautiful song I’m Just Ken, which he sings at one point in the film. After the film, the soundtrack took on a life of its own. Ryan previously made a Christmas version of the song, which was also well received at the time. And now he puts himself, Ken and the song back in the spotlight with a brilliant performance during the Oscars gala.

Perhaps the actor is doing this deliberately to promote the Barbie spin-off film. Rumors are that there will be a spin-off about the character Ken. In an interview with the TV program 60 Minutes, director Greta Gerwig and co-writer Noah Baumbach are very mysterious about a possible new film about the popular side character. “I can’t say anything about that,” Greta said at the time. “I mean, the truth is… we’ll see, I guess.” They then indicated that there are still many ideas for stories about Ken. Ooh, interesting!
