Will there be a second season of Archetypes after all?
Although the future of Archetypes – Meghan Markle’s podcast – did not look bright, that has now changed. The Duchess of Sussex recently shared the happy news that her podcast has found a new look and a new ‘home’.
Archetypes in a new guise
“Dive into the world of Archetypes with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Discover the ‘boxes’ that women try to keep back. Now available for the first time at Lemonada on all platforms,” reads the message from Lemonada, a media company and podcast network.
In addition to a new ‘home’, the podcast has also undergone some rebranding. During the release of the podcast in 2022, the logo still had green letters. This has changed to pink in 2024. The Lemonada logo has also been added.
Plan is in full swing
It’s no surprise that Meghan is teaming up with Lemonada. She shared the great news with her followers on February 13. “The opportunity to support a woman-founded business is a fantastic way to kick off 2024,” Meghan said in her statement.
“Our plan to re-release Archetypes so more people can access it now, and to launch a dynamic new podcast, is well underway. I’m excited to share this soon and I’m thrilled to be part of the Lemonada family.”
Second season?
Both parties have not yet said anything about a possible second season, but the re-release is in any case a nice first step after the end of the collaboration with Spotify.
In 2023, Meghan, Harry and their label Archewell Audio announced that the show would be over after the first season of Archetypes. In a joint statement at the time, they shared that they had “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series they have created together.” “The team behind Archetypes remains proud of the podcast they created at Spotify.”
We wait patiently for Meghan to let us know more about a possible second season. Or who knows, a whole new podcast?
